Photoshop Express Launched
I last talked about Photoshop Express last September but it’s just little over a year ago that the (big) news came out… A Photoshop Online!
This morning, the Adobe Photoshop Express Beta version is available to everybody!!
The look and feel is very close to Lightroom I think and the user interface is definitely inspired by iPhoto (read simple to use).
The editing tools are basic but yet, powerful! For exemple, if you click “Auto Correct - Exposure - Saturation” a strip of several images will appear on top of the photo and by just hovering your mouse over the thumbnail, you’ll get a preview of the change, just like in Lightroom!
The entire interface is Flash based, giving a huge flexibility in terms of usability! Everybody will love this! No need for extra menu to change settings etc., just drag your mouse to change the size of the cloning tool for exemple.
When applying a change, a “V” check will apear next to the edit applied.
When zooming in, a small window appears on the bottom left corner to let you preview where you are. Oh, and you can zoom in up to 800%!
Once you are done, just like in any other photo editing software, you need to actually Save the changes, and until you do so, you can Reset All and return to the original!
From within PSDXpress, you can login into FaceBook, Photobucket and Picasa. I assume it’s to either share or retrieve photos from these accounts but I didn’t try that feature.
I’ll definitely keep playing with it and will post a more in depth review soon.
In the meantime you can check my test gallery here.

I played with it and it’s actually very intuitive… It’s quite perfect fot people who need quick editing.
I like that’s it’s all in Flash too!!
