After this nice Thanksgiving break, we come back in full force with the 25 most powerful people in business and Steve Jobs being numero uno (number one - #1)!
“The charismatic Apple founder pioneered several industries, made an unrivaled comeback, and established a powerhouse brand, placing him at the top of Fortune’s 2007 Power 25 list.”
A great position to be in but also a great business and personal achievement! Not many people know this, but Steve actually not only kicked off the PC era but also gave the world the laser printer, and founded Pixar which was bought by Disney Co. for a sweet $7.4 Billion in 2006.

Jordan Matter became professional photographer on the late, because of headshots!
“One day I was at a friend’s house, looking through her headshots. Not one photograph said the slightest thing about her. They were very generic, very studio and very boring.
When she told me what she had paid, I almost choked on my Starbucks. Outrageous! I’ve been the victim of that a few times myself.
The next day I grabbed my camera, took her up to the roof and fired off two quick rolls before the sun set. That was it. I was hooked, whether I knew it or not (see her photos).”
I really like two things about Jordan’s art. One, he mostly works in B&W and second, he only uses natural light… Like he says, natural light is a very honest, beautiful light. You will look like a real person, which is extremely important to agents and casting directors.
Make sure to check his “Uncovered” collection. It’s a daring, very feminine project.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has quite an impressive photo library!
NOAA is descended from the oldest physical science agencies in the United States Federal Government including the Coast Survey (1807), Weather Service (1870) and Fish Commission (1871).
That’s probably why they were able to stock this amazing photo of a tornado taken on August 28, 1884 22 miles southwest of Howard, South Dakota.
You can even download a high resolution of this photo for free!

Apple’s (r)evolution is quite rich and this visual representation of most of all the products Apple has launched between 1976 through 2007 is probably worth thousands of words!
Apple’s Mission Statement:
“Apple ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970s with the Apple II and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the Macintosh.
Today, Apple continues to lead the industry in innovation with its award-winning computers, OS X operating system and iLife and professional applications.
Apple is also spearheading the digital media revolution with its iPod portable music and video players and iTunes online store, and has entered the mobile phone market this year with its revolutionary iPhone.”
