LightZone 2.0 is yet another intuitive RAW editing tool, but it’s actually a powerful tool to consider…
The best feature to me is the ZoneMapper tool… ZoneMapper allows you to adjust the brightness and contrast of all or parts of your photo for any combination of the highlights, midtones, or shadows.
Now I am a big fan of Nikon Capture NX, which also allows to apply your adjustment to “zones” very specifically, that coming from Nikon, it’s a hard task to beat them at their own game but LightZone actually did it!!

Christmas is already far behind us leaving a trail of MP3 players, Digital cameras, Gaming stations, web enabled cell phones and what not… 2006 was the year of the Internet!
Many among us have roamed the Net to get some of their gifts (I surely did - 80% of my gifts were purchased on-line this year!).
Black Friday (see picture below) is now followed by Cyber Monday…
Here in the US, close to $22 billions were spent on-line between Nov 1st and December 20th!! That’s a 25% increase compared to 2005 - way to go Internet!

How come? Well, people start to trust on-line shopping more and more.

“What… Where… When… Who…” I am sure you heard that one before… If like my buddy Seb, you are a Spotlight fan, you’ll probably welcome Spotlaser! I love Spotlight, but it frustrates me to use it. It’s just not “that” convenient to use… If the window disappears behind a folder window, you can’t call it back since your in Finder, it’s hard to sort the results, only looks up a string of character, etc.
That’s where Spotlaser comes into play… it enables you to get results that are more focused and relevant to your requirements by offering more options on what, where, when and who to search.

Spotlaser uses the Spotlight engine, meaning it’s FAST and RELEVANT. It will present the search results in a new window and from there you’ll be able to create a smart folder or event save your search.
It’s also light (< 1mb), doesn't use much CPU power and barely any memory, plus... it's FREE (you can always donate some $$$ tho)!!
The only “bug” is that once in a while, it’s good to do a “Reset Spotlaser” by clicking the icon at lower right corner of the window… But hey, who cares!
