I just love those guys at B&H… Not only do they have the BEST online and on site service, but they have great price and write great articles. This time I am talking about the Epson Stylus Pro 3800.

For those who aren’t familiar with this printer, it’s probably the closest thing you can buy to print in professional quality (9 inks) up to 17×22″ @1440Dpi and 43.2lb (damn!) for less than $1,300!! So what do you get for the $$$??

The Epson UltraChrome K3 incorporates a new generations of pigmented ink with three-level of Black and new color pigments, to dramatically raise the bar for professional color and black-and- white prints.

Given current pricing on Epson’s website of $60 per cartridge, that means a change from Photo to Matte ink and back will cost about $4.50. Decent!
